Inca Empires

The emperor of the Inca Empire would always receive a title along with being emperor. The emperor would use the title "Sapa Inca", which meant the only Inca. The Inca had this idea of duality, so they formed their leadership systems basing it on it. Leadership systems within the Inca Empire were built by moieties entitled the Hanan and Hurin, upper and lower. The leaders of the two moieties would rule together and were thought of equally. Though they were equal, the hanan leader had greater prestige and because of that, he became dominant of the other. This duality was lost when the Spanish conquered the Inca.
