Was Japan Totalitarian
I believe that Japan was totalitarian because even thought they defeated the chinese and had a strong army, the japanese were facing a huge battle against their economy. Their army has been a big focus for centuries in Japan, and these were not fulfilling the ambition of Japan. With the Army going down hill and not being able to conquer on the road or at home during battle the Japanese were in for it. Japan needed a strong centralized government in which they had and is why japan was Totalitarian.

Kaitlin,
ReplyDeleteThere is more to totalitarian leadership than merely having a strong centralized government. Regardless of how Japan's economy was doing, and the fact that they defeated the Chinese with a strong army, you still haven't supplied much evidence that Japan was in fact totalitarian.
Kaitlin your blog confuses me quite a bit, can you clarify?
ReplyDeletei'm with mark on this one. can you explain/clarify your point more please?
ReplyDeleteit seems like its just your opinion that Japan kind of maybe needed a strong government and Japan is therefore totalitarian...
do you have any actual evidence about them being totalitarian or not?
Your opening sentence does not make it clear to me why Japan was totalitarian. Neither does the last. Totalitarian means that one central government and its leader strive to control every aspect of society and public life.
